It’s official, Ethereum’s next big upgrade is being tested
We’ve previously wrote another article on Byzantium, one of the first stages of the overall upgrade planned by Ethereum. Well, today the hard fork has been officially tested and simulated. It is said the testing process will take up to a few weeks before the hard fork actually happens. This upgrade and testing on Ropsten is extremely important to the overall progress of cryptocurrencies, since ETH is the 2nd large and most notable coin. The results on this testing will probably influence the price and future of ETH.
Coindesk is estimating for the hard fork to happen somewhere around October 9th, so we’re still left in suspense for about 3 weeks, the team will make a formal announcement when they have a sure date. The upgrade on ETH code is promising better functionality, faster transactions and safer environment overall. We’re going to keep an eye on the progress and let you know if we have further info.
